Richard Prugger

Saturday, January 25, 2014, we lost a father, son, brother, and good friend when Richard Prugger left this life for his next one. Richard was born on May 25, 1960 to John E. and Dorothy (Eidson) Prugger in the hospital in Omaha, Neb. Living in Bellevue, Nebraska. In 1963 the family moved back to Springfield when John returned to work for the railroad. Richard graduated from St. Joseph Grade School and Central High School. He was employed with the Springfield Regional Center for twenty four years but lost his job due to his health.
He was preceded in death by his Paternal and Maternal grandparents and niece Kaitlan.
Richard is survived by his parents, John and Dorothy Prugger; sons, James Ryan of Barcelona, Spain, Max of the home, Bradley of Springfield; step-son, Alex Smith of Springfield; brothers, Robert (Annie), Michael, and Charles (Jennifer); sisters, Barbara Ghys, Linda Spears and Maria Kerfoot (Aaron); and several nieces and nephews who loved him very much and a host of very good friends.
Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday January 31, 2014 in Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home, 500 E. Walnut St.
Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 1, 2014 in Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
