Richard Napieralski, 58, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, August 7th, 2018 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
He was born in Fort Hood, Texas to Charles Napieralski and Helen Perkins.
Richard joined the Navy at age 18 and spent many years in the Navel force. He spent most of his time in air planes keeping look out for submarines. He also was deployed to the Philippines at one point.
Richard spent his last few years as a political activist. He made sure everyone's voice was heard and was counted for. He was a massive supporter of Bernie Sanders and his campaign.
Richard loved to teach other people the things he had learned in his life. He was a jack of all trades and wanted to make sure he passed his knowledge on. He loved to garden and cook. He also spent many hours volunteering in the area. One of his larger interests in life was Larp-ing (Live Action role-Play). He was a member of Amtgard.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Verna Napieralski, his brother, Thomas James Napieralski, and his sister Deborah Jackson.
Richard is survived by his mother, Helen Morgan, his sister, Paula Grant, his children Jennifer and Thomas Napieralski, three nephews Carmen Napieralski, Charles Jackson, and Travis Napieralski, his niece, Sara Napieralski, and many family and friends.
Celebration of Life will be at Herman Lohmeyer Funeral Chapel on Saturday, August 18th, 2018 at 3:00pm. The family asks that you come prepared to share stories, and bring any photos if you would like to help decorate memory boards.
