Richard Wayne Looten, 67, of Springfield, Missouri, went on to glory on Saturday, April 27, 2024 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield.
Rich was born in Jefferson City, and he was a graduate of Hannibal High School in 1974. Rich was a proud member of The Springs Church of Springfield, where he was active in the men’s ministry and several other Bible studies.
Rich is preceded in death by his father, Wayne Edward Looten.
Survivors include his wife of almost 48 years, Kathy Looten (Edwards) of Springfield, two sons, Timothy Richard Looten (Mallorye) of Columbia and Joshua Lloyd Looten (Elizabeth) of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, and one daughter, Jessica Jo Wilson (Lucas) of Springfield. He is also survived by his mother Dorothy Jo Looten (Sestak) of Columbia, one brother, Steven Lee Looten (Amy) of Quincy, Illinois, one sister, Michelle Delene Mattie (Michael) of Columbia. He was also blessed with eight grandchildren, Elena Looten, Leila Wilson, Kael Wilson, Audrey Looten, Kerrigan Wilson, Harper Looten, Joseph Looten, and Peyton Looten; as well as many other beloved uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A Visitation will be held from 10-11am on Friday, May 3, 2024 at The Springs Church, 5500 S. Southwood Road, Springfield, Missouri 65804. A Memorial Service will begin at 11:00am following the Visitation. The burial will take place at a future date in Hickory Hill Cemetery in Eugene, Missouri. Arrangement are under the care and direction of Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home in Springfield, Missouri.
