Rebecca “Becky” S. Ramsey, 67, of Republic, Missouri, passed away peacefully on November 15, 2024. She was born on April 19, 1957, in Ash Grove, Missouri, to Treacil and Martha Myers.
Becky married the love of her life, Mark Ramsey, on September 11, 1982, and they shared 42 wonderful years together. The couple moved to Republic 38 years ago, where they built their forever home in the woods, creating a warm and loving sanctuary for their family.
Before becoming a full-time mom, Becky worked as a lab technician for several years, a job she truly loved. She then dedicated herself to raising her four children, a role she embraced with great joy and devotion. Becky was a passionate and supportive mother, and some of her favorite memories throughout her life involved cheering on her children and grandchildren at their various sports events. She was always their number one fan, taking immense pride in their achievements and being a constant presence at games and practices.
Becky also loved gardening, spending time with her grandchildren, and crappie fishing at Stockton Lake. She treasured vacations at the beach with her girlfriends and cherished hosting Sunday dinners with her family, where laughter and love filled the air. Her role as an assistant librarian at Republic High School for nearly 20 years allowed her to share her love of reading and learning with students.
A long-time member of Hood United Methodist Church, Becky found strength and fellowship within her church community, where she built lasting friendships and deepened her faith.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Mark Ramsey; their children, Trent (Jacque), Cale (Brittany), Shana (Jason), and Kyra (Shane); six adoring grandchildren, Hatcher, Huxton, Haddie, Brooks, Brexson, and Summit; and her sister, Pam Bayless. She was preceded in death by her parents, Martha and Treacil Myers, and her brother, Bruce Gene Myers.
Becky’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Her love for her family, her kindness, and her unwavering support for those she loved will never be forgotten.
