Rebecca Adams

Rebecca Diane (Beki) Woodiel Adams passed away in her sleep at home in Springfield, Missouri, in the early morning hours of Friday, June 25. She was 59 years old and looking forward to her 60th birthday.

She was born Saturday, July 8, 1961, in Dexter, Missouri, to Joe Bob Woodiel and Blanche Elizabeth Reeves Woodiel. She was third in the lineup of six children: Woody, Debi, Beki, Nicki, Cathy and Rick.

Beki lived a full life as a wonderful mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She was a dedicated mother first and foremost, treasuring her children Jack and Madi. She saw them as her greatest accomplishments. She was an amazing cook, and loved to garden, watch movies, listen to books and blues music, travel and be with her people.

Beki was part of Central High School's Class of 1979 in Springfield, Missouri. She had careers in the restaurant and customer service industries.

Beki was preceded in death by her father and her sister-in-law Maydene Woodiel.

She is survived by her two children, Jackson Dee Adams and Madison Demay Adams; her mother Blanche, her brother Joseph Robert Woodiel, sister Deborah Carol Woodiel Randall and her husband, Ted; sister Anna Nicole Ruth Woodiel Heist; sister Mary Catherine Woodiel Loomis and her husband, Jimmy; and brother Richard Stephen Woodiel and his wife, Traci.

She loved being part of a big family that included aunts, uncles, cousins as well as nephews: Jon, Levi, Luke, Jesse, Josh, Joseph, and Jacob; nieces: Blair, Katy, Sofi, Tori, and Ashlee; great nephews: Scout, Alias, Mason, Wyatt, Jaiden, Logan, Abel, Ayden, Kyler and Maxwell; and great nieces: Mylee, Kynlee and Ila Mae. Beki made certain that her friends felt like family as well.

She will be remembered as a strong, determined, fun and fiercely loyal woman with a little bit of crazy thrown in. She was a bit of a fashionista and loved her bling.

When you think of Beki, celebrate the good memories you have of her. Remember that life is fragile and short and should be lived to the fullest.

The family will have a private memorial gathering at the home of Cathy Loomis on Sunday, July 4. Beki has requested that her ashes be scattered by family at a future date.
