Randy Allen Richter was born in Springfield, Missouri on November 20, 1962 at Burge Hospital. He passed from this world on January 8, 2009 in Memphis, Tennessee. He was the youngest of five children born to Maynard and Willie Richter. Randy also had two adopted brothers and three adopted sisters. Randy attended Fair Grove High School. He was a valuable asset of the football team. Randy was fiercely loyal and protective of his family. He had an extremely generous and tender heart. He was generous to the point of hardship on himself at times. He could not stand to see anyone suffer in anyway.
Although Randy never had any children of his own, he was loved by many of the hundreds of foster children that passed through his Mother's home. They knew that Randy would pick and tease them endlessly when he came to visit, and give them attention that they longed for. They looked forward to the treats he often brought for them. If he knew that one of them had a need, he would do his best to provide for them.
Randy took Anna Luckett as his wife on May 12, 2007 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Randy loved Anna with great passion and was totally committed to her. Anna brought absolute pleasure and happiness to his life. Randy made friends wherever he went. He never saw a stranger.
Randy had been a truck driver for many years. At the time of his death he was driving for Old Dominion. He held this job since November 19th, 2003. Randy devoted himself to whatever he did. Nothing but his very best was good enough.
Randy accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior at Peace Chapel Assembly of God Church, and was baptized by Reverend Leonard Bailey on May 7, 1972. He was preceded in death by his father, Maynard M. Richter, his fraternal grandparents, Abe and Ethel Richter, and his maternal grandparents, Herbert and Bitha McBee. He is survived by his wife, Anna Luckett of Springfield, his mother Willie Roberts of Fair Grove, his sister and her husband, Donna and Gary Medley of Dadeville, three brothers and their wives, Stephen Richter of Springfield, Gary and Judy Richter of Seymour, and Larry and Rachel Richter of Fair Grove. He is also survived by his adopted siblings and their families, two brothers, Joseph and Andrea Richter of Hollister, George and Rhonda Richter of the state of Indiana, three sisters, Mary Ann Lackey of Springfield, Megan and Kurt Patrick of Springfield, and Lucy Roberts of Springfield, as well as a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends.
