Peggy Lynn Robinson passed away Tuesday, December 17, 2019 in her home.
Peggy was born February 16, 1958, in Athens Ohio, the daughter of Richard and Jane Garrison. Her family moved around to several places, eventually landing in Missouri. After graduating high school, she obtained her Bachelor's degree in Secondary Education from MSSU then Master’s degree in Administration from SMSU (MSU).
During college, she worked at Howard Johnson's Diner in Joplin, MO. It is here she met the love of her life, her husband David. They enjoyed camping and traveling together, from the sunny Islands of Hawaii to the snowy Swiss Alps. She also enjoyed being a seamstress in her spare time. Creating all the wedding outfits for her bridal party.
After college she worked in special education for Springfield Public Schools. She then worked as a teacher and later a principal for Greene Valley State School for the Severely Disabled. Peggy took pride in helping and educating children with disabilities.
Peggy is survived by son David Alan and grandchild Kylia, son Paul and daughter-in-law Rebeca, son Adam; brother Richard Garrison and sister-in-law Cathy Garrison; sister Janet Garrison, nephew Greg Garrison, niece Felicia Holland; sister Mary Provance and brother-in-law Douglas Provance with nephews Will and Josh, nieces Maria and Ellie; sister-in-law Glenda Garrison and niece Gabrielle.
Peggy is preceded in death by her husband David; father Richard Garrison and mother Jane; and brother Jeffrey Garrison.
Visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00 pm Saturday, December 28, 2019 at Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home, 500 E. Walnut Street in Springfield, Missouri where a Celebration of Life Service will begin at 2:00 pm.
