Paula M. Mullane passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 4th 2012, at the Springfield Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center.
Paula was born in Brooklyn NY on July 17, 1928. She married Edward Mullane on April 28, 1951. Paula and Ed lived for many years in East Aurora, NY before moving to Springfield MO in 1975. However, no matter where she lived she considered herself a true New Yorker.
Paula always loved entertaining and even after her illness many will remember her sitting in the gardens at the nursing home, with family and friends.
She is survived by her children, Dona Amato, Kevin Mullane, Shawn Mullane and her grandchildren, Patrick Mullane and Lila Johnson. Paula had many great friends in both East Aurora and Springfield, especially her longtime bridge partner Goldie Robinson who always made it a point to come visit with her.
The family is greatly appreciative of the excellent care Paula received over the years at Springfield Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center.
Paula’s wishes were to be cremated. A small reception was held on Thursday November 8th at 2:00pm at the Springfield Rehab and Healthcare Center. In lieu of flowers the family asked for donations to The Good Samaritan Boys Ranch, www.ranchlife.org.
