Paul Garrison

Paul K. Garrison, 64, Battlefield, passed away June 16, 2014 in Cox South Hospital.

He was born June 29, 1949 in Normal, Illinois to Charles and Bernece (Classon) Garrison. He married Suzanne Weger Hatch on December 23, 1999. Paul was a sweet, devoted husband who also loved his family and many friends. He was a very devout Christian man. Teaching music was the passion of his life.

Paul is survived by his wife, Suzanne Garrison; three step-children, Larry Hill of Ruidoso, NM; Debby Santens of Plano, TX and Michael Hatch, and his wife Christie of Durant, OK; three step grandchildren; three step great grandchildren; sister, Gayle Layman of Champaign, IL; two nephews, Michael Layman, and his wife Christi of Falls Church, VA and Stephen Layman of Nashville, TN; and one great niece.

Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday June 19, 2014 in Wesley United Methodist Church with Rev. Jim Massey officiating. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service in the church. Committal services will be at 3 p.m. Friday June 20, 2014 in Highland Cemetery in Durant, Oklahoma under the care of Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home.
