Paul Binder

Paul Erich Robert Binder passed away at his home June 2, 2011 in Springfield, MO. He was born December 21, 1938, Chicago, Illinois, the son of Paul and Cecile (Morin) Binder.

He graduated from Cabool High School in 1956 and attended SMS in Springfield. He entered the United States Air Force, serving in Lackland, Montgomery and Minot Air Force Bases in the field of Pharmacy before pursuing a career in Respiratory Therapy at Saint Louis University Hospital, Saint Joseph's Hospital in Minot, ND, Gottlieb Memorial Hospital in Melrose Park, IL, and Saint John's in Springfield, MO, retiring in July, 2008.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Trudy Trimble.

He is survived by his children: Brenda Binder and Deborah Kauffman, Minot, ND, Charles Binder, Highlands Ranch, CO, Mary Meador, Colorado Springs, CO, Andrew Binder and Alexander Binder of Romeoville, IL and grandchildren, Jordan, Joshua and Isaac Kauffman of Minot, ND and Christian Binder of Highlands Ranch, CO and siblings Barbara Spice, Springfield, MO, Rev. Mark Binder, Piedmont, MO, Marilyn Saler, Cabool, MO and John Binder, Springfield, MO.

Visitation will be Sunday, June 5 in Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home 500 E. Walnut St. from 6 to 8 pm. A funeral Mass will be celebrated in Saint Agnes Cathedral at 11 am on Monday, June 6 with burial in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield.

Memorial contributions may be made in Paul's memory to the St. John's Respiratory Student Scholarship Fund 1235 E. Cherokee Springfield, MO 65804.
