Patricia Louise King, passed away September 29, 2020 at the age of 65 years, 2 months, and 23 days.
Patricia (Patty), daughter of James Richard and Helen Hilda (Hearting) Livingston, was born July 6, 1955 in Waynesville, Missouri. She grew up in the St. Robert area. She moved to Jefferson City after the birth of her first daughter, Conswelia. She worked in the House of Representatives Print Shop for almost 13 years before returning to school to complete her Bachelor’s Degree after the birth of her second daughter, Jazmyn.
Patty loved her children and grandchildren, she taught them to value education and always told them how proud she was of them. Unfortunately, many years were stolen from her and them as she struggled with her addiction over the years. The years of her sobriety created great memories with family and friends, but her addiction took a heavy toll. The family and friends of Faith Lutheran Church were a base to return to when she was able and supported her through her struggles.
Patty was preceded in death by her husband James Arthur King, her father James, her mother Helen, her sister Rebecca Lynn, and her brother James Darryl. She is survived by her children and step-children: Conswelia Marie (Livingston-Whipple) McCourt of Blue Springs, MO, Jazmyn Lacee (King) Robertson of Overland Park, KS, Diane Whipple of Rochester, NY, and Erika McCarthan of Holts Summit, MO; grandchildren: Xander, Anastasia, Thea, John, Damien, Quinten, Shana, Quintin, Jessica, John, Precious, Faezhon, Taezhon, Zhiana, and Chancellor; siblings: Earl Livingston of Springfield and Janice Livingston of St. Robert; niece: Kristina Logan-Livingston of Knob Noster, MO; nephew: Shawn Livingston of St. James, MO; former husband: John T Whipple of Philadelphia; two great-nieces, a great-nephew, aunts, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
The family has decided because of the state of the world and the circumstances of Patty’s passing to have a private service at this time. There will be a public service in July. You can send condolences and cards to the family through Herman Lohmeyer Funeral Home in Springfield.
