Patricia Bowman

Patricia Ann “Pat” Bowman, daughter of John Edward “Ed” Farr and Verla “Mag” (Garner) Farr, was born October 12th, 1938, in Competition Missouri in the same house that her mother was born in. She passed away at 7:15 pm on May 8th, 2023, at the home of her daughter, Margaret whom she lived with, at the age of 84 years, 6 months, and 27 days.

Pat came from a family of educators. She was always an overachiever, so much so that she completed two grades in one year during her elementary years, causing her to graduate at the young age of sixteen. She was an avid reader and passed on her love for books to her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She loved to play cards and Bridge.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Alan Bowman, her sisters, and three nephews.

Pat is survived by her daughter, Margaret Mercer, and husband William, of Fair Grove and Trina Keeler, and husband Chet, of Marshfield; five granddaughters, Tricia Maples, Allisha Lee, Valerie Mercer, Samantha Foston and husband Marcus, and Alexandria Mercer; eleven great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; two nieces, a nephew, and numerous cousins.

A family directed memorial service will be held at 11 am Friday May 26, 2023 in Marshfield United Methodist Church 220 S. Elm Road Marshfield, Missouri with Pastor Kim Polochow officiating.

The burial will take place at a later date at the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Fair Grove Missouri.
