Oscar "Jay" Houser

Oscar Jay Houser, 37, passed away on May 3, 2016 in Bolivar, Mo. He was born September 11, 1978, in Upper Sandusky, Ohio to Joseph and Beverly Houser. Jay was preceded in death by his mother Beverly Jo Houser. He is survived by his children Gavin, 10, and Jocelynn, 8, step daughter Chiara,11, his father Joseph Houser, brother, Joe, sister Janna, ex-wife Amanda, as well as many other family members and friends. Jay will be missed by all who knew him.

For over 10 years, Jay was an avid activist, in his community and nationwide. He was a loving father to his children and enjoyed coaching their baseball teams every summer. Jay also enjoyed many hobbies including fishing, disc golf, camping and traveling.

Jay was a loving, hard-working, fun-loving, kind-hearted and outgoing father, son, brother and friend.

Services are planned for 10:00 a.m. Sunday, May 8, 2016 at the Citizen’s Memorial Hospital community rooms in Bolivar, Mo. All who knew and loved him are encouraged to join us in a celebration of Jay’s life.
