Novice Delene Gorrell Shobe passed away at her home in Springfield, Mo. Monday January 28, 2013 after a short illness.
Novice was born to Grover O. and Frances Longpine Gorrell December 22, 1927 in Peru, Kansas. Novice lived in the Jonesburg Peru area until moving to Springfield in November 2007. She was preceded in death by her daughter Audrey in 1971, husband John in 1999, brothers Grover Lee and J.C. Gorrell, sisters Winimay Long, and Norma “Cookie” Welliver.
Novice is survived by her daughter Mary and son in law Steve Mueller of Springfield, Mo. Two grandsons J.W. Mueller, Tulsa and Wade Mueller Los Angles, a sister Viva Brousseau of Palm Desert, Ca. and many nieces, nephews and friends. Interment after cremation will be in El Cado Cemetery in Jonesburg, Kansas.
