Noel Benson

Noel Milton "Benny" Benson, 81, went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 20, 2011. He was born on April 28, 1930, in Manitowoc, Wisconsin.

After serving in the Air Force, Noel worked as an Engineer for many years before retiring. He enjoyed his time traveling for work, especially in the state of Alaska.

He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Edythe (Bosland) Benson; and his wife, Kay (Walters) Benson.

He is survived by his daughters, Jane Hallsted and her husband, Chuck, Margaret Jenkins and her husband, Charles, Penny Griffin and her husband, Patrick; step-daughters, Cherie Hixon and her husband, Gordon, Therese Woolbright, Raegan Hollandsworth and her husband, Jeff; his brother, Robert Benson and his wife, Susan; as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Committal services with military honors will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday May 25, 2011 in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. 2900 Sheridan Rd. Saint Louis, Missouri 63125.
