Nancy Lynn Yancey, 75, Springfield, Missouri, passed away on November 5, 2024 in Springfield, Missouri.
She was born on November 13, 1948 in Houston, Texas to Edwin and Dorothy Sheffield. She attended Baytown Lee High School, class of 1966; Baylor University, class of 1969.
Nancy worked primarily as a high school History and Geography teacher. She also got the pleasure of being a Cheer coach to some amazing young people. She loved to golf, play bridge, be at the beach, cheer on her beloved Chiefs, and argue about politics.
She was preceded in death by her parents and son, Jared Flowers.
She is survived by her children, Sean Burnett and wife Nancy, Josh Flowers and wife Randi, Seth Flowers and wife Shelby; 7 grandchildren, Hannah, Donovan, Taylor, Addison, Samantha, Cru, and Logan; 1 great grandchild, Hunter; and her brother Brad Sheffield.
As she desired the family will have a private get together at a later date.
