Nancy Pope

Nancy Sue (Houston) Pope, age 82 , passed away in Springfield Missouri on Wednesday, September 30th, 2020.

She was born April 28, 1938 in King City, Missouri; the daughter of of Joseph F. Houston and Thelma R. (Hulet) Houston.

Nancy went to school for an associates degree and then worked as an Licensed Practical Nurse and a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and daughter, Qualyn Pope.

Nancy is survived by her husband, Jim; daughter, Heather Jessica Pope; grandson, Alan Swearingin; and great granddaughter, Savannah;

Graveside services for both Jim and Nancy, will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, May 26, 2023 at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, 5201 S. Southwood Road in Springfield, Missouri, with Full Military Honors for Jim.
