Minda Seaburn

She graduated from Bellevue High School in Bellevue, NE and went on to graduate from Sioux Falls College in Sioux Falls, SD with a B.A. in Psychology. As an adult, she returned to university studies at the University of Nebraska at Omaha to study math and teaching. She would later put her education background to good use raising and homeschooling her four children. After spending many years as a stay-at-home wife and mother, Minda became a foster parent for several years with Missouri Baptist Children’s Home, becoming “mom” to nine boys during her years with them. Minda also went to work for the State of Missouri after retiring from foster parenting. Minda was a member of Broadway Baptist Church in Springfield.

Minda is survived by her husband, Eugene Seaburn; parents, Larry Pence, Bella Vista, AR and Esther Pence of Bolivar, MO; brother, Michael Pence of Bella Vista, AR; four children, Megan Wood and husband William of Ft. Benning, GA, Katy Green of Columbia, MO, Kellen Green of Springfield, MO, Samuel Green and wife Krisha of Springfield, MO; and four grandchildren, Cortez Benson-Wood of Springfield, MO, Cialyn Green of Columbia, MO, Cael Green of Columbia, MO and Trystyn Wood of Ft. Benning, GA.

Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday July 9, 2011 in Herman Lohmeyer Funeral Home in Springfield. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday July 10, 2011 in Broadway Baptist Church in Springfield.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Broadway Baptist Church Building Fund, 2537 N. Broadway Springfield, MO 65803.
