Miley "Joe" Richardson

Miley Joe Richardson, 89, Mt. Vernon, MO passed away May 20, 2015
Joe was born in the Washington, D. C. and grew up in Mt Rainier, Maryland. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy where he was trained in Sonar and later served on the Alfred A. Cunningham. After completing his service in Navy, Joe returned to Marlow, OK where his family had moved. He completed GI Agriculture School. In Marlow he met and married his wife Louie. They moved to Duncan where Joe worked at Halliburton as a machinist until retirement. In 2007 Joe and ‘Lou’ moved to Ozark, MO to be near their two daughters, Geri Lout and Diana Alexander.
Joe enjoyed making things with his hands, music, and playing golf and pool. Above all he had a deep relationship with his Lord, Jesus Christ, and a passion to share that life with others.
His mother and father, Colonel and Claudia Richardson and son-in-law, Tim Lout preceded him in death. His wife Lou of 66 years, 2 daughters, Geri Lout and Diana Alexander and husband Thomas survive him. His brother Colonel Richardson Jr. and sister Betty Enoch and husband Otey, also survive him. Joe had 1 grandson, Todd Lout; 3 granddaughters, Michelle Lout, Heather Jackson and Hilary O’Banion; 3 great granddaughters, Sierra Lout, Stella O’Banion and Violet O’Banion; and 4 great grandsons, Josiah Lout, Aidan Jackson, Noah Jackson and Jonas Jackson.
He will be greatly missed by all who loved him.
Graveside memorial services with miltiary honors will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 26, 2015 in Missouri Veterans Cemetery, 5201 S. Southwood, Springfield, Missouri. Arrangements are under the care of Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home, Springfield.
