Melva (Jean) Dishman was born 1931 in Rhinelander, Wisconsin and died May 16, 2024 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
As an adult, Jean was a resident of La Mirada, California and Bryan, Texas, before moving to her more permanent home of Springfield, Missouri. Jean spent the bulk of her time in Missouri working as a receptionist at Drury University. She enjoyed having a large garden in her backyard with roses and tomatoes being her favorite items to plant and nurture.
Jean may have been short in stature, but large when it came to spreading kindness and giving to others. Jean is survived by her daughter, daughter in law, sister in law, 5 grandchildren and 5 great grand children.
