Matthew Boone

Just as Matthew David Boone's life journey began on June 22, 1989, he left us on July 6, 2008 a free spirit.

Matthew is survived by parents Jennifer and Rick Joy, natural father David Boone, lil' sis Amber, lil' bro Austin, lil' sis Abby, grandparents Tom and Nancy Richardson, grandparents Ken and Carol Boone, Grandma Linda Joy (preceded by Grandpa Leon Joy), and by countless aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who loved and adored him. Matthew David's name means "Beloved Gift of God," and he was our gift. He was adored and cherished by family and friends alike. Matt always made us smile and could always put humor into uncomfortable situations, providing comfort to all with his endearing heart, beautiful smile and enveloping hugs.

A memorial fund has been established at Liberty Bank to assist the family with funeral expenses. We pray that he is now at peace and that God has taken his hand. He is always in our hearts and shall never be forgotten. He is our Superman. Momma loves you, Matty.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 9, 2008 in Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home 500 E. Walnut St. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 10, 2008 in the funeral home with Rev. Gary Collins officiating. Burial will follow in White Oak Cemetery in Rogersville, Mo.
