Maryette Anderson

Maryette Anderson was born near Manchester Iowa and was adopted by Howard and Mary Speed through Catholic Charities an organization she would support throughout her life.

She grew up in Manchester and attended high school there graduating in the Class of 1965. After high school she attended Gates College in Iowa and would live and work in Dubuque, IA, and Chicago, before marrying Paul Sturm and setting in Sebeka, Minnesota. While living in Sebeka she had one child her son Nickolas.

After her first marriage she met and married Hershel Anderson and moved with him to Marshfield, Missouri there she helped him run a small trucking company and raised horses. After Hershel passed, she would move to Springfield where she lived the rest of her life.

During the last years of her life, she worked at Bass Pro Shops and lived with her son and her cat. Her main hobbies were reading mystery novels, knitting, and crocheting.

Maryette was known for her kindness and generosity, and she will be missed by all who knew her.

A Memorial Visitation will be held for Maryette on Wednesday, March 23rd, 2022, from 4:30pm- 6:30pm. This will be at Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home, located at 500 E. Walnut Street, Springfield, MO 65806.
