They left military service in 1960 and moved to Springfield, Missouri where they had their fifth and last child. Not only was Molly busy raising five children, she was active in Campfire Girls, Springfield Museum, St. John's Ladies Auxiliary, and other Springfield concerns. She loved living in Springfield! After Harwood's retirement they taught in Korea and China. She and Harwood were of the original members of All Saints Anglican Church.
