Mary Strode

Mary Kaye Strode of Springfield, Missouri passed away Dec. 31, 2012 after losing a courageous battle with cancer, which she fought to the very end!

She was born in Decatur, IL on March 11, 1953. Mary was preceded in death by parents John and Betty Jackson, and nephew Matthew Hollgarth. She is joined by her sister Francie Burrous who passed on Jan. 1, 2013.

Mary is survived by her soul mate (husband) Lonnie Strode of 42 years.
Parents Jasper and Betty Strode. Sons Christopher and wife Sherri Strode, Kevin and wife Mel Strode, Sisters Jeannie and husband Vic Fleetwood, Sheryl and husband Mark Moore, Kathy and husband Russ Spaulding, brothers Bob and wife Phyllis Jackson, Jack and wife Deanna Jackson and John Strode. Nana to Amber, Jordan, Logan, Cade and Morgan Strode, and Kinsley Rotramel, and 19 nieces and nephews.

Mary is dearly loved and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

In Lieu of flowers the family has requested memorial contributions to be made to Lonnie Strode, 3121 S. Heather Ct., Springfield, MO 65804 or can be made directly to the funeral home.

Memorial services will be held 4:00 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013 in Herman Lohmeyer Funeral Home, 500 E. Walnut St.
