Mrs. Mary Stow, 85, Springfield passed away at 3:55 p.m. Friday Feb. 18, 2005 in ManorCare.
Mary was born Dec. 1, 1919 in Peace Valley, Mo. to William Oscar and Nora (Wilbanks) Brown. Mary loved music, travel and dancing. Everyone who knew her liked her. She was a loving mother and a remarkable woman, strong and independent. She was a life long member of TOPs, a member of St. Agnes Cathedral and a graduate of St. Agnes High.
She is survived by her two daughters, Jerry Cobb and spouse Michael of Little Rock, AR., Carol Weatherwax and spouse Jim of Yankton, SD; her son, Charles S. Stow of Springfield, VA.; her grandson, Mark P. Weatherwax of Lincoln, NE; her granddaughter, Steffanie Groves and spouse John W. of Kent, WA; and her niece, Mary Brown of Springfield.
Funeral mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 21, 2005 in St. Agnes Cathedral with Fr. Mike McDevitt celebrant. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery under the care of Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home 500 E. Walnut.
Visitation will be from 3 pm to 4 pm today (Sunday) in the funeral home.
