Mary Jane Snodgrass, 76, passed away in St. John’s Hospital on October 11, 2011.
She is the daughter of Lawson and Flossie (Pearman) Widner.
Mary Jane was a member of the Second Baptist Church. She worked in the Circuit Clerk’s office for twenty-five years, and was a volunteer for St. John’s Breast Cancer Center. She loved cooking and gospel music.
Mary Jane is preceded in death by her parents, and her sister, Jessie Jordan.
She is survived by her three children, Gary Martin and his wife Debbie, Marsha Nash, and husband Jerry, and Mary Beth Martin, of Springfield; her brother Jim Widner and his wife Lana; four grand-children, Stephen, Landon, Derek, and Nick, and two great grand-children, Jaslynn and Kienen Nash who where the love of her life. Her niece; Donna Jordan, and two great friends, Vera Meese and Kate Beatty.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday Oct. 22, 2011 in Herman H. Lohmeyer Chapel 500 E. Walnut Street, with visitation one hour prior to service.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.
