Mrs. Mary Ann McGarity, 74 of Eldon, Missouri passed away Tuesday morning August 23, 2011 in Miller County Care Center.
Mary was born March 24, 1937 in Porum, Oklahoma to Albert Lee and Jewell Dell (Cosper) Holt. She was united in marriage to William McGarity on June 14, 1957.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Billy H. Holt and two sisters, Oleta Warren and CoWanda Armstrong.
She is survived by her husband, The Rev. W. G. McGarity, her daughter and son-in-law, Cynthia Faye and Michael Dean Catron, her four sons, William Darryl McGarity, George Duane McGarity, Daniel Ray McGarity and Billy Don McGarity; 13 grandchildren; 600 + foster children as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday August 27, 2011 in First Assembly of God in Eldon, Missouri with Rev. James Hedrick and Rev. Richard Orrell officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Springs Baptist Cemetery in Eldon, Missouri under the care of Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home Springfield, Missouri. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service in the church.
