Mary Lawson

Mary Evelyn Lawson, 92 of Springfield passed away Sunday May 2, 2010 in Christian Health Care in Nixa.

She was born December 11, 1917 in Sedalia, Missouri to Peter and Marie (Walker) Donahoe. Mary was a nurse during World War II, serving in the Army Air Corp on a hospital ship.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, James Lawson.

She is survived by her two sons, Jim Lawson and his wife Jean and Dave Lawson; her grandchildren, Scott Lawson, Brian Lawson, Chad Lawson, and Steve Lawson; and seven great grandchildren.

Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday May 5, 2010 in Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Thomas McGann, CMF celebrant, under the care of Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home, 500 E. Walnut St. Burial will be at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday in Calvary Cemetery in Sedalia, Missouri.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday May 4, 2010 in the funeral home.
