Mary Ann Kroutil, 100, Springfield, passed away at 4:40 p.m. Friday, February 22, 2008 in Mercy Villa.
She was born August 18, 1907 in Anamoose, North Dakota to Anton and Mary (Stech) Rychlik. Mary was a faithful and devoted member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church for 36 years. She was a master quilter having made over 42 quilts which she loving gave to her family and to charities.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joseph Kroutil; her grandson, Joseph Kroutil; her sister, Emma Otradovec; and her brother, William Rychlik.
She is survived by her children, Joseph C. Kroutil, and his wife Evelyn, of Florrisant, Mo., Marie Meyer, and her husband, Don, of Springfield, and Johnny Kroutil, and his wife, Shirley, of Springfield; 10 grandchildren, Mark Kroutil, Jude Kroutil, John Kroutil, Michael Meyer, Terri Meyer, Suzanne Hoffmeier, Stephen Meyer, David Todd Kroutil, John Kroutil, Vicki Schaper; 17 great grandchildren; and 6 great great grandchildren.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday, February 25, 2008 in Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Wenceslaus Cemetery, Bolivar, Mo under the care of Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home, 500 E. Walnut.
Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home with prayer services starting at 7 p.m.
