Mary Louise Koeneman, of O’Fallon, Missouri passed away Tuesday Oct. 20, 2015 in Delmar Gardens of O’Fallon. She was 87 years young.
Mary Lou was born December 28, 1927 in St. Louis, Missouri to Edward and Delphia (Adams) Koenigkramer and had one sister, Betty Jo. Mary Lou went to High School in Hermann, MO. She returned to the St. Louis area after High School went to work for Southwestern Bell Telephone. Mary Lou loved music and dancing and attended many USO Dances at the local Armory. She met her husband, Bill Koeneman and they were married April 19, 1947. They were wed almost 41 years when Bill passed away on March 13, 1988. They resided in Wentzville at that time. Mary Lou later moved to Lake St. Louis.
Mary Lou was a loving housewife and mother. Her ‘giving nature’ had her volunteering at school as the ‘Lunch Lady’ and as an Elementary PE Teacher. She also served as a girl scout leader. Mary Lou enjoyed her years of employment at the Noah’s Ark Restaurant, Missouri Edison/Ameren of Missouri and The Hallmark ‘Happy Shop’.
Nothing brought Mary Lou more pleasure than her Family. First born Debbie, of Foristell married Tim Heintzelman and they have two sons. Scott is married to Gina and they have 3 daughters, Victoria, Anabella and Natalia. Mark is married to Cari and they have two daughters, Nora and Reese. Second born Ronnie who passed away in 1983 married Mary Luetkemeyer who now resides in the Jefferson City area . Next in line is Russ, of Springfield, MO who married Marie and they have two sons, William and Alex. Gerry is the 4th child and also resides in Springfield, MO. His significant other is Brittney who has one child, Cooper.
Memorial mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday Oct. 23, 2015 in St. Patrick Parish 405 Church Street Wentzville, Missouri with Fr. Brian Fischer celebrant. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the mass in the church.
