Mary (Peterlich) Brozovich, 96, of Springfield, entered her eternal life on March 15, 2012. Mary was born near Gospic in Lika, Croatia on January 10, 1916. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Brozovich, her parents, and 17 brothers and sisters.
Mary is survived by her two sons, Joseph and wife, Dawn, John and wife Celine; nine grandchildren, Joanne, Joyce, Joe and wife Cheryl, Lauren, Amy and husband Manuel, Michael and fiancé Lisa, Faith, John and wife Carla, Danielle; and four great grandchildren, Jose David and Cassandra Duran, Jackson Brozovich and Makayla Brozovich.
Mary was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. She was best known for her infectious laugh and her award winning apple strudel and walnut bread.
Wake services will begin at 6 p.m. with visitation to follow until 8 p.m. Friday March 16, 2012 in Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home 500 E. Walnut Street.
Wake services, funeral mass and burial will be in Chicago, Illinois next week.
