Mary L. Blake, 75 of Springfield, Mo.
A wise and generous lady, a cozy haven to comfort all. Born in Dothan, WV to Delphia and Noel in 1932. At the age of 7yrs she and her two sisters lived at Terra Alta due to the TB outbreak. She returned to Fayette County and attended Kingston High School. Married her sweetheart Charles Ira Blake, was a wife and mother of 4 children. In 1976 she moved to Longrun, MO where she and Ira had a small farm. She enjoyed gardening and fishing. In 2001 she moved to Spfd.
She is preceeded in death by parents Delphia and Desota Evans; her husband Charles; son Charles L; sisters Alice & Jewel.
Survived by her sisters Shirley & Verna of Ridgedale, Mo; Brenda of Jefferson, Ga. Son Bill & wife Debbie of Hill Top, WV; daughters Regina and husband Steve of Niceville, Fl & Lisa of Spfd; daughter-in-law Barbara of Concord, NC. Seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Sat. Jan. 26, 2008 in St. Agnes Chapel in Springfield. Comittal services will be at 3 p.m. Sat. in the Smith-Graham Cemetery in Longrun, Mo. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday in Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home 500 E. Walnut St. Springfield, Mo.
