Martha Goforth
Martha Jean Goforth, 56, Springfield, passed away at 12:05 a.m. Thursday, October 25, 2007 in St. John's Hospital.
She was born August 3, 1951 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to Walter Edward and Reba Jean (Gant) Goforth. Martha spent much of her life in Fort Smith, where she attended Southside HS and University of Arkansas-Fort Smith. She worked at a number of places, including 15 years at James River Corp. Before moving away from Fort Smith, she attended Harvest Time Tabernacle. After moving away she found a calling as a substitute teacher--first in southeast MO, then later in Springfield, MO. At the time of her passing she was attending Ridgecrest Baptist Church in Springfield.
She is survived by her son, Bob Swanson.
Memorial services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 10, 2007 in Ridgecrest Baptist Church with Pastor Andy Thornton officiating. Online condolences can be made at www.hhlohmeyer.com.
