Marnett Adams, 83, Springfield, passed away at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, March 24, 2005 in her home.
She was born February 22, 1922 in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Otis Adams, her sister Effie Jones, her brother Leo McGhee, and her four children Charlie, Otis, Michael, and Darryl.
Mrs. Adams is survived by her three children Wayne Adams of St. Louis, Dora Adams of Springfield, and Pamela Adams of St. Louis; her grandchildren, Ronnie Adams, Rhonda Adams, Lamour Adams, Shereece Adams, Angela Adams, Quentin Adams, Myran Adams, Marlin Adams, Sholanda Adams, Laconia Adams, Marnett Stalling, Dominick Blunt, Lil Ronnie Adams, Jr.; her nephews & nieces George Marion of St. Louis, Sylvia Nixon of Cincinnati, Ohio and Audris & Clyde of Detroit, Mich.; and a host of great grandchildren and great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday March 30, 2005 in Herman H. Lohmeyer Chapel with Rev. Zacqrey Woods officiating under the care of Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home, 500 E. Walnut. Burial will be in Hazelwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday March 29, 2005 in the funeral home.
