Marjorie Sidmon

Marjorie Ellen Sidmon, 86, left this life on Thursday August 17, 2011 at Ozark Riverview Manor.

She was born July 15, 1925 to Homer and Laura Wynne in Jameson, Missouri. She was the youngest of 12 and was preceded in death by both her parents and siblings. She married Jack Sidmon on February 19, 1952 and resided in Mt. Vernon, Missouri for many years.

She is survived by her husband; daughter, Janet Tillman, and her husband Matt of Auburndale, Florida; and granddaughters, Erin Smith, and her husband Ryan of Venice, Florida and Meagan Grundy and her husband Kevin of Springfield. She is also survived by the greatest joys of her life, her great grandchildren, Tymon, Eliana, and Adalyn.

Marjorie lived a life of service to others in her life long career as a nurse. She retired from St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, Mo. She faithfully served the Lord throughout her life within the church and as a prayer warrior. Most remember her for her quick wit and notable one liners. She worked very hard and served diligently as though she was serving the Lord.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday August 22, 2011 in Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home, 500 E. Walnut St. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the start of the service on Monday. Burial will follow at a later date in John’s Chapel.
