Mrs. Marjorie Graves Pryor, 94, Springfield, passed away at 5:40 p.m. Wednesday, December 7, 2005 in ManorCare Health Services, Springfield. She was born May 4, 1911, in Everton, Missouri, the daughter of Charles E. and Maudina Radley Graves. After graduating from high school in Everton Marjorie attended Southwest Baptist College. She was a member of the Everton Presbyterian Church.
She was united in marriage in Springfield in 1946 to John Pryor who in 1972 preceded her in death. In addition to her parents Marjorie was also preceded in death by her sisters, Ara Graves and Wynona Graves Baker and brothers, Jack Hollis Graves, Byron A. Graves, Iro L. Graves, and Charles L. Graves, nephew, Joe Graves and stepson, Jack Pryor.
Marjorie is survived by her sister, Maxine Graves Compton, and sister-in-law, Maxine Folse Graves of Springfield; and stepdaughter, Eva Pryor Akins and husband, Ted of Springfield. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews, Ann Graves Freelove and husband, Ed, Joann Compton Wills and husband, Charles of Springfield, Doris June Graves Martin of Muskogee, Oklahoma, Truett Baker and wife, Carolyn of Branson, Dwight L. Baker and wife, Emma, Bill Baker and wife, Betty of Dallas, Texas, and Donald Max Graves and wife, Carol of San Antonio, Texas.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 10, 2005 in Hazelwood Cemetery with Dr. Dwight L. Baker and Rev. Truett Baker officiating.
