Marion Keegan, 83, a resident of Crofton, MD, formerly of Springfield, MO, died April 27, 2008, after a short battle with breast cancer. She was born in Detroit, Michigan to the late Aloysius and Christine Pacala on May 12, 1924. Preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth B Keegan, son Kenneth F Keegan, and daughter Adele Jacoby, two grandsons, and sister Lucille Johnston.

Marion was a very devoted housewife and very active with the Catholic Church. She was a devoted Christian who dedicated much of her life to Christ. She was a member of the Dominican Order and served as a lay Dominican for almost 60 years. She was a former member of Holy Trinity Church and St. Agnes Church in Springfield, MO, and St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Crofton, MD. Marion is survived by her children: daughter, Patricia and husband Ronald Marhefka of Mineral Point, PA; daughter, Mary Hall of Alexandria, VA; son, Thomas and wife Elizabeth Keegan of Germantown, MD; daughter, Carol Keegan of Springfield, MO; daughter, Teresa Keegan of St. Peters, MO; daughter, Donna and husband Patrick Benton of Crofton, MD; Regina Keegan of Crofton, MD; 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, and one sister, Geraldine Magee.

Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Friday, May 2, 2008 in St Agnes Cathedral, Springfield, MO visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until service time Friday in the church. Interment will follow in the Springfield National Cemetery under the care of Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the following: Lay Dominicans of Wisconsin, the American Cancer Society, or the Susan G. Komen Foundation for Breast Cancer.
