Mrs. Marilyn J. Mace, 82 of Springfield passed away at 11:55 a.m. Monday, April 13, 2009. Marilyn was born April 26, 1926 in Beloit, Kansas to Linley A. and Clara Marie (Studer) Muck She worked in the E.R. at Cox South as a Registered Nurse. Marilyn was a member of Wesley UMC, volunteered and served for various groups including the Jaycees Wives and was very active with the Meals On Wheels Program. She enjoyed traveling and her pet poodle, Peaches. Marilyn was very close to her family which she loved dearly.
She was peceded in death by her parents, and her daughter, Karen Nease. She is survived by her husband, Jim Mace of the home; her son, Kirk Nease and her grandson, Shane Scott Nease both of Springfield; and many other family members and friends.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, April 16, 2009 in Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home 500 E. Walnut Street. A memorial graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday April 20, 2009 in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery.
