Margaret Butler, 84, Rogersville, MO (formerly of Strafford), passed away on Thursday, July 6, 2006 in Cox Hospital South. She was a member of Clinton Christian Church. She will be missed by all her friends and family as she was a wonderful homemaker and a compassionate friend to everyone. She was born July 28, 1921 in Clinton, MO to James and May (Martin) Dodson.
Margaret Dodson & Arthur Butler were united in marriage on March 15, 1945. He preceded her in death on February 2, 1992. She was also preceded in death by her parents, May Dodson & James Dodson; her brother, Walter Dodson; her sister, Mary Lee; and her son, Donald Butler.
She is survived by her children, Eugene Butler and his wife Delores of Springfield, and Martha Henderson and her husband Everett Wayne of Rogersville; her grandchildren, Arthur Butler and his wife Victoria of Boise, Idaho, Danny Henderson and his wife GJ of Springfield, MO, Christi Henderson and her fiance Bo of Rogersville, and Carol Butler of Denver, CO; her 5 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
She was the perfect role model for a mother, grandmother, & great grandmother that any family could ever wish for. She was full of love and knowledge, always having a open ear for her family to share there concerns, joys, and dreams. To those of her family, she will always be in their hearts and she will still always be listening.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 9, 2006 in Calhoun Cemetery in Calhoun, MO with Pastor Howard Cupp officiating under the care of Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home, 500 E. Walnut.
