Marcus Ranier Frank, 26 years old, passed away on Wednesday, June 23, 2021, at Mercy Hospital, Springfield, MO. He was born in Merriam, KS to Troy and Cathleen Frank who lived in Kansas City, MO. He attended Shawnee Heights Elementary and Middle School in Topeka, KS; Carver Middle School and Kickapoo High School in Springfield, MO. Marcus went to Ozarks Technical Community College (OTC) for a year and loved his music class. Marcus was a Boy Scout and completed and received many badges. He played viola from fourth through eighth grade and learned cello as well, performing in concerts often. He was in choir, loved history, art, and science. He loved music, beatboxing, and rapping, which became his passion and brought him joy.
He lived a full life, never giving up hope. He lived as a true believer in Christ and shared his faith with others. Marcus was a proud member of HOGMOB (Hooked On God, Ministry Over Business). Anyone who knew him loved him! With his entrepreneurial spirit he wrote lyrics and performed Christian raps, was involved with the youth, church, family, and friends. He loved camping, being outside, taking strolls in the neighborhood, and meeting new people. He was always striving to keep a great attitude even when he was down. He learned to make the most of everything! You will be deeply missed, until we meet again, Bub!
He is survived by his grandmother, Janet Casey; his father, Troy Frank; his mother, Cathleen Frank; and his uncle, John Casey. As well as his sisters, Gabrielle, Marissa and Shyra; brother, Terrell; and nephew, Kai. Plus, many other nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
