Louise Ann Richman Disano, age 71, was called to heaven on April 16, 2006. She departed peacefully, surrounded by her family and friends.
Louise was born on May 17, 1934 in St. Louis, MO and moved to Springfield as a child. She graduated from St. Agnes in 1952. In 1954, she married William Brigham, with whom she had four children. While raising her children, she managed the Heritage Bookstore, a family owned business in Springfield.
Louise later married John Disano, and both moved to Southern California where she worked for the Arizona State University Revegitation Project on the Colorado River, graduated valedictorian from a local community college, and received her Bachelor's degree in English at the University of California-Riverside. She then worked for Vista Pacific Mental Health Care in Riverside, California as a recreational coordinator.
In 1997, Louise and her husband retired and returned to Springfield where she continued to serve others as a volunteer advocate for the Victim Center.
Louise was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Alyce Richman, and her brother, Ken Richman.
She is survived by her husband, John; daughters Sherie Brigham and Jenny Reynolds, Jenny's companion Tim Bruce; sons Danny Brigham and Chris Brigham, Chris' wife, Theresa; and five grandchildren, Tara Graham, Christopher Reynolds, Kenny Drewery, Tina Drewery, and Adam Drewery.
Memorial services will be at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 19, 2006 in Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home, 500 E. Walnut, with burial following in Resurrection Cemetery.
