Lou Ella Dahlgren

LouElla Dahlgren-Andrews, beloved wife and mother, who lived her life with passion and enthusiasm, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on November 16, 2009. She was born on October 1, 1916 in Beaver, Oklahoma, the daughter of Myrtle and William Henson. On August 20, 1938, she married Dale A. Dahlgren who preceded her in death on January 8, 1993 after 55 years of marriage. They moved to Springfield, Missouri in 1959.

Throughout her life she enjoyed fellowship with her family and friends whether she was playing golf or bridge, traveling or dining over a great meal. She will be deeply missed by her husband, James P. Andrews and her sons Larry, Steve and Jim Dahlgren and their families.

Through life's long journey that encompassed war and peace, economic turmoil, graduation and deaths, her faith in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ never faltered, her love for her family and children was freely given and her memory is the rock for those left behind. She will be missed but we know her new adventure will be full of excitement.

Besides her parents, LouElla is preceded in death by her late husband, Dale A. Dahlgren, her brother and three sisters. She is survived by her husband, James P. Andrews and family and her three sons and their families, nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

There will be a private family graveside service at a later date in Springfield National Cemetery.

The Andrews-Dahlgren families would like to thank the loving staff and Hospice care-givers at Ozark Riverview Manor and Seasons Hospice. Donations should be made to your favorite charity or to Meals on Wheels.
