Lou Brewer

Lou Vernon Brewer, 76 of Springfield passed away Monday morning Nov. 14, 2011 in his home surrounded by his family.

Lou was born Dec. 1, 1934 in Johnsonville, Tenn. to Vernon and Mary (Dickerson) Brewer. He was preceded in death by his parents, his grandson, Greg, his sisters, Rita and Jeannette and his brother Joe.

He is survived by his wife, Rose; three children, Maria Garrison, and her husband Todd, Michael Brewer and Patrick Brewer, and his wife Tammy; six grandchildren, Jessica, Marianne, Devin, Clay and Brandon; great grandchildren, Emma and Adin; and his sister, Fay.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday Nov. 16, 2011 in Herman H. Lohmeyer Chapel 500 E. Walnut Street with Fr. Mike McDevitt officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Missouri Veterans Cemetery.

No visitation is planned.
