Lois Jean Anderson passed from this life on 17 September, 2011 to be reunited with her husband Lenard Munroe Anderson. Lois was born May 24, 1937 in Cherryville, Missouri as the first of six children of Emery Bell and Mildred (Morrison) Bell.
She devoted her life to serving others. She toured the world as a military wife and lifelong traveler, was a member of the Red Cross during the Viet Nam conflict, joined several societies to include the Red Hat Society in Bolivar, Missouri, and served multiple churches concluding with the First Christian Church in Bolivar.
Lois and Lenard were married on September 02, 1955 and raised four sons: Kenneth, Kevin, James and Jeff. Lois treasured life and lived it to the fullest. She was an artist, author, travelled throughout the world, and was an amazing cook who shared her epicurean skills with her family, grand children, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Emery Bell & Mildred (Morrison) Bell, her husband Lenard M. Anderson, and her great grandchild Aiden Anderson. She is survived by her siblings James Bell of Steelville, MO; Jack Bell of Topeka, KS; Larry Bell of Houston, TX; Gloria (Bell) Ireland of St. James, MO; and Joseph Bell of Licking MO. She is also survived by her four sons and their families: Kenneth D. Anderson, his wife Susan (Dance), and their daughter Angela Anderson-Tewell and husband Thomas; Kevin L. Anderson and his daughters Amy and Kasey; James E. Anderson, his wife Melissa (Wright), and their daughters Alexandra and Sarah; Jeffrey L. Anderson, his wife Susan (Klepper), and their son Jacob. Along with her immediate family she is also survived by her lifelong friend Delores Bell, of Steelville, MO.
Lois Jean’s interment will be at the Biloxi National Cemetery at Biloxi, MS.
