Lloyd DeVere Lindsey 97, formerly of El Dorado Springs, MO, died July 2, 2008, in the Missouri Veterans Home at Mt Vernon, MO. He was born in Marshall, MO on July 7, 1910. He was a retired office manager for International Shoe Company and a veteran of the Battle of the Bulge in WWII.
His wife Genevieve preceded him in death on September 29, 1989. Lloyd is survived by his daughter Donna (Hohgrefe) Waters and husband Don of Springfield with whom he resided for 12 years, son Lloyd M. Lindsey and wife Katie of Aurora, CO and son Gordon D. Lindsey and companion Michael McConeghy of Pleasant Hope, MO. Also surviving are grandchildren: Steve Hohgrefe of Springfield, MO; Tim Hohgrefe of Aurora, MO; Suzy Streeter and husband David of Webster Groves, MO; Dana Strain of Peyton, CO; Shawna Chatel and husband Dennis of Aurora, CO; Amy Trobaugh and husband Mark of Olympia, WA and 13 GREAT grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church with visitation and viewing at 9:00 a.m. and Mass at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday July 8, 2008. Burial will be at the El Dorado Springs, MO city cemetery at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday with military honors under the care of Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home.
