Linda Jean Cook, 53, Springfield, passed away Tuesday, September 26, 2006 in St. John's Hospital.
She was born October 3, 1952 to Donald and Alice (Curtis) Harris. Linda was a Licensed Practical Nurse.
She is survived by her husband of 23 years, Chaplain Michael Cook; her mother and step-father, Alice and Ignacio Cabrera of Springfield, Mass.; her brothers John Harris of San Bernedino, CA, James A. Harris of Connecticut, Robert Cabrera and Daniel Cabrera both of Burlington, Vermont; her uncle and aunt, Wayne and Ivy Curtis of Oakville, Ontario, Canada.
Memorial services will be at 3:30 p.m. Friday in Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home 500 E. Walnut with Rev. Walter Brashear and Chaplain Alvin Worthley officiating.
Linda was fond of the nursing profession, but especially of those who served the mentally ill and international missions. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be directed to St. John's Foundation for Community Health, 1235 E.
