Lillian Nelson

LITTLE ROCK - Lillian Hazel Nelson of Little Rock, AR departed this life March 2, 2010. She was born May 27, 1930 in Bismarck (Lambert), AR, the daughter of Maney and Ella Sheets. Hazel was a treasure and a joy. She will be forever missed by all that knew her. She was an asset to many businesses during her life, including managing the Romer Motel Court in Hot Springs, AR and was also a manager at DeGray Lodge in Bismarck, AR. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Cecil L. Nelson, Sr.; brothers, Kermit, Vernon, and Boyd; and sister Donna (Donnie) Fendley. She is also preceded in death by her beloved son Todd Ward. Todd was the light of her life and after nine years they are now celebrating their reunion as they walk through heaven together. Survivors include two daughters, Cecile Nelson of Little Rock; Gail Rusch and her husband Ron of Springfield, MO; son, Cecil L. Nelson, Jr (Len) of Bismarck; sister, Maurine Smith and her husband Loyd (Pete) of Bismarck; grandson, Michael Rusch of Springfield; and many nieces, nephews, and friends who loved and adored her and will cherish her memory forever.
