Lewis E. Moore, 51, Springfield, Mo., passed away peacefully at home Sunday, March 25, 2007. He was born November 11, 1955 in Mexico, Mo. Lewis was a graduate of Mexico Sr. High, where he excelled in sports, academics, and extracurricular activities. He also attended Lincoln University in Jefferson City, Mo.
Lewis was the son of Lewis R. and Mary E. Moore. He was employed by A.P. Green Refractory in Mexico, Mo. He later relocated to Springfield, Mo. He was a loving son, uncle, and brother who enjoyed sports and spending time with family and friends.
Preceding him in death was his mother, Mary E. Moore.
Lewis is survived by his father, Lewis R. Moore, Mexico, Mo.; three brothers, Ernest Moore, Springfield, Mo., Ricky Moore, and his wife Del, Arlington, TX, and Perry Moore, Ft. Worth, TX; one sister, Dorothy Belcher, Arlington, TX. Lewis also leaves a host of nephews, nieces, and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, March 29, 2007 at Washington Ave. Baptist Church, 1722 N. National Springfield, Mo. Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 28, from 5 - 7 p.m. at Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home, 500 E. Walnut in Springfield, Mo.
