Leo Ray Paul, 78, Mt. Vernon, MO went to be with his family and Heavenly Savior Tuesday, March 19, 2013.
Leo was born March 29, 1934 at Elk City, OK to Richard and Ollie (Simmons) Paul.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his son Jerry Ray and daughter Terry Jean, two brothers, Wayne Paul and Robert Paul, four sisters, Connie Vincint, Cleo Barry, Reva Jones and Leota Broadway.
He is survived by his loving ex-wife and caretaker Joyce Campbell of the home, two sisters, Shirley McKinney and husband Dale and Rachel Shores, one brother, Richard Paul, all of Paradise, CA. Also surviving is one special granddaughter Amy of Hernet, CA, his nieces, nephews and grandchildren and a host of friends.
Leo was a retired construction worker and he also retired from the school district, both of Visalia, CA. He loved music and singing and had his own band for over forty years. Leo’s first solo was at the age of twelve in church.
Leo was a member of the Country Music Association in Oakland, CA.
Even though he will be greatly missed, we know he is singing in Heaven with his mom and dad.
Memorial services and burial will be held at a later date.
