Leo O. Bircher, 65, Springfield, passed away Tuesday, June 19, 2007 in his home.

Leo was born in Ellsworth, Kansas on June 7, 1942 to Janet and Oliver Bircher of Kanopolis, Kansas. He owned and operated Bircher Machine Inc. for 22 years and Technical Management Consulting for 15 years. He also worked for Acme Brick Co. Leo married Christine (Tina) Cannon November 27, 1965. He was a member of the Ellsworth Masonic Lodge, American Ceramic Society, Southland Christian Church, of Springfield, Missouri, and he was a Shriner.

Leo is survived by his wife Christine; three children, Laura Yarrington, of Springfield, Missouri, Jeremy Bircher, of Denver, Colorado, and Tammy Bircher, of Sugarland, Texas; four grandchildren, Johanna Peters and Christina Yarrington, of Springfield, Missouri and Ashlee Simpson and Brittany Hitt of Sugarland, Texas; and two sisters, Dorothy Morris, and her husband Roger, of Shawnee Mission, Kansas and Delores Willms, of Cameron Park, California.

Memorial services will be at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 26, 2007 in Southland Christian Church, Springfield, Mo. There will be an additional memorial service at 1:00 p.m. Sunday July 15, 2007 in Kanopolis United Methodist Church, Kanopolis, Kansas.
